Support for Frozen Horizon in SCO (PE)

It is now possible to specify a Frozen Horizon for the following SCO resources:

  • Supplier Allocations
  • Transfers
  • Processes

This forbids purchase for a Supplier Allocation, planned shipments for a Transfer, or planned production for a Process in the frozen buckets for a resource.

Users can freeze the beginning of the plan, for example within the lead times and (re)optimize the remaining plan horizon. Users can freeze the default horizon by type or set a specific frozen horizon for each resource.

In SCV specific frozen horizon values can be imported or manually adjusted using SCV Datasheets.

These SCV entities have been extended to add these properties together with all related configuration (such as Inbox->Core mappings, and datasheets):

  • ROUTING.frozen_horizon
  • ITEM_SOURCING.frozen_horizon

The xs_frozen_horizon extension columns for ROUTING and ITEM_SOURCING extensions are also added.

These views have been updated to include frozen_horizon:

  • SP_V_SUPPLIER_ALLOCATIONS
  • SP_V_TRANFERS
  • SP_V_PROCESS

In SCO with Planning Engine the default property is set using variables in the standard Planning Engine definition (Supply Chain Optimization (SP_SCO)):

  • frozen_horizon_processes. Default: 0
  • frozen_horizon_supplier_allocations. Default: 0
  • frozen_horizon_transfers. Default: 0

Specific frozen horizon property values for each resource are imported, or manually set in plan sheets.

These interface services have been updated to load frozen_horizon:

  • SP - SCV - SCO - Import Processes
  • SP - SCV - SCO - Import Supplier Allocations
  • SP - SCV - SCO - Import Transfers

These plan sheets are updated to review and modify frozen horizon:

  • Processes (*). 2. Data Management > 5. Production Information
  • Supplier Allocations (*). 2. Data Management > 6. Purchase Information
  • Transfers (*). 2. Data Management > 4. Transport Information

This feature is available for SCO with Planning Engine only.

Frozen horizon is not enabled for Supply Planning with analytical / OLAP cycles (aka Supply+ and template: spls.zip). The supporting integration and worksheets are not included. This uses a default value of 0, using the corresponding SCO model variables.

Note:
  • This feature is available after appending the Planning Engine SP SCO template (apsco.zip) for this release.
  • You are not required any new role or privilege access to use this feature.
