Multi-Instance SCP

Multiple SCP instances per tenant are now supported, with one SCV per instance (aka Private SCVs). Multi-instance SCP allows separation of business units into different SCP instances or partitioning of large data sets within each tenant.

When multiple instances are configured, these instances are available through the standard Infor OS menu for selection (login) to that tenant. Additional instances are referenced by an internal ID (number), with each instance being independent.

Each SCP instance connects to its internal SCV by default. The Internal SCV data source supports an optional Instance, for connecting to other instances (by ID). Every instance can view all ‘InforSCV_tenant_0x0’.

Interface macro commands are extended to include ‘Data Source’ as an optional parameter, supporting execution of an interface against a specified SCV instance, or data source.

Templates are loaded separately for each instance as each instance has specific configuration. Each additional instance can have specific set of prefixed roles. This supports controlled access to different SCP instances. The base instances roles do not have a prefix (This is effectively 0). All other instances have an ID before the role name, where the ID reflects the instance from where the role originated, for example, 01 IBP_DPLS_SystemAdmin.

Note:
  • To enable this feature, a support request is made to Infor Cloud Ops to configure multi-instance SCP. This may carry additional charges for additional instances on top of the current configuration.
  • You are not required a new role or privilege access to use this feature.
