ROP Schedule Rule logic
ROP schedule rule helps to simplify the order requirement. This rule creates a single
planned order on the first available receiving date when the available stock for the item and
location combination is less than the specified Re-order point value.
When an item and location combination is passed to ROP schedule algorithm as a part of a call to the Replenishment Engine, the CallReplenishmentEngine macro is processed and the schedule is calculated based on the item and location combination.
For overview of the rule logic, see ROP schedule.
The default Source Method of the current item and location combination is determined. These conditions are considered to determine the mapping type used for certain input measures.
- When mapping the inputs in the replenishment engine settings, the value is
mapped based on the corresponding supply allocation and default source method:
- Purchase Lead Time, Purchase Minimum Lot Quantity, Purchase Increment (from Purchase Measure Mapping).
- Transfer Lead Time, Transfer Minimum Lot Quantity, Transfer Increment (from Transfer Out Measure Mapping).
- Production Lead Time, Production Minimum Lot Quantity, Production Increment (from Process Measure Mapping).
- Where ‘lead time’ and other specified inputs are described in the logic flow, the value from the measure mapped against the corresponding source method must be used. For example, if the Default Source Method = 1 (Transfer), the measure mapped against the Lead time parameter from Transfer Out Measure Mapping is used, that is Sum of Transport lead time.
Note: The supply allocation mapping also
indicates the attributes to be used when retrieving scenario values of the supply allocation
type.
