Creating scenario processes

You can create scenario processes, which are the steps required to complete a scenario. These steps are then linked to the cycle.

To create a scenario process:

  1. Select Configuration > Cycle > Scenario Processes.
  2. Click New. Specify this information:
    Name
The name of the scenario process.
    Description
The description of the scenario process.
    Module
The module in which the scenario process is used.
  3. Click New in the details pane.
  4. Specify the status transitions for this scenario process. Specify this information:
    Starting Status
The status based on which the first step of the scenario process is initiated.
Note:  For a process, you cannot select Published as the starting status. The process steps required for publishing are specified in a cycle process.
    Workflow Definition
The workflow definition associated with the scenario process and created in the ION Desk. If a value is specified in this field, the status is generated by the ION Desk workflow definition. However, if a value is not specified, the status must be manually specified for the scenario process.
    Success Status
The last Success status for a step in the scenario process, based on which the next step can be initiated.
    Failure Status
The last Failure status for a step in the scenario process, based on which the next step can be initiated.
Note: Each scenario process step results in a status change. However, if the Failure Status is equal to the Starting Status, the scenario status is not changed and the next step is not initiated.
  5. Click Submit.
Note: To create a scenario process based on an existing scenario, or to edit a scenario process.
