Supersession

Supersession is a controlled replacement mechanism wherein a product or customer (predecessor) is replaced by another (successor), with rules for transferring history and controlling forecast periods during transition. Supersession supports 1-to-1 replacement, 1-to-many, many-to-1, and multiple levels in a chain, Circular relationships are not supported. This ensures that the Demand Forecasting maintains accuracy and continuity when such replacements occur. You can create, modify, and delete supersession relationships for products and customers. These are the types of supersessions:
