No Forecast rule
The No Forecast type situation is used to identify Planning Entities (PE) that do not have a forecast. The No Forecast rule applies when the generation trigger is initiated. The No Forecast type situation is created when both of the following conditions are met:
- A forecast is not generated for the level specified in the No Forecast Generated For field.
- The last x number of net history periods contain values in y or more periods.
Where, x = Within the Previous "X" Periods field, y = Has Values In field.
When the situation is created, the number of history periods that contain history for the PE is stored as a count and displayed within the Situations tab in the demand forecasting workbench details screen.
This information is displayed on the Rule Details screen when the value of the Type field is set to No Forecast:

The forecast level to which the No Forecast rule is applied. Possible values:
- Tactical Forecast
- Strategic Forecast
- Where

Controls the history type used to trigger the situation.
Note: The combination of values specified in the Where, Has Values In, and Within the Previous ‘’X’’ Periods fields create the basis of the rule that triggers the creation of a situation for a PE without a forecast.

The number of history values that are required for which the No Forecast type situation can be applied.
