Overview
GenAI Assistant for PS extends the Planning Board with conversational capabilities through three specialized AI agents. Schedulers can use these agents independently based on theoperational requirements.
Data Insights Agent
The Data Insights agent enables schedulers to analyze the active production schedule using natural language queries. It provides quick access to operational insights and ask questions about batch scheduling, changeover times, production quantities, order timelines and coupled flows.
End-of-Shift Reporter Agent
The End-of-Shift Reporter agent automatically generates structured shift handover reports based on a configurable report template. Reports can be saved to IDM and reused across sessions. Administrators define the template structure used for report generation.
Documentation Agent
The Documentation agent provides contextual answers to questions about PS functionality and configuration. Users can obtain information about:
- PS model concepts
- Parameters and settings
- Configuration options
- Product features and behaviour
This reduces dependency on external documentation and enables faster access to product knowledge.
All three agents operate in read-only mode. These agents can retrieve and present information, however, cannot:
- Modify production schedules
- Move batches
- Trigger schedule recalculations
- Perform any actions that alter system data
This ensures that production schedules remain unchanged while users gain valuable insights and assistance.
