Agent and tool configuration

This topic describes the tasks necessary for the agents and tools to function properly.

All GenAI artifacts for this use case (Agents, Tools, and the ION Scripts/API Flows the Tools depend on) are delivered together as a single Global Package. The customer deploys the package to their tenant via the Self-Service Portal (SSP), then verifies that everything landed correctly and is active.

1. Deploy the package to the tenant.
   • From SSP, deploy the Global Package containing the GenAI Agents, Tools, ION Scripts, and API Flows for this use case to the target tenant.
2. Verify that all artifacts are present on the tenant after deployment.
   • ION Scripts: convert_textToBase64, convert_unix_timestamp_to_readable_date
   • API Flows: ibp_GenAI_IDM_Update_document, ibp_GenAI_IDM_Revert_document
   • GenAI Tools: PS_eos_updateTemplateTool, PS_eos_revertTemplateTool, convert_unix_timestamp_to_readable_dateTool
   • GenAI Agents: PS_dataInsightsAgent, PS_endOfShiftReporterAgent, SCP_documentationAgent
   • Focus Mode: PS
3. Verify that every deployed artifact is active/approved, not just present.
   • ION Scripts must show status approved.
   • API Flows must show status Activated in ION API Flows.
   • GenAI Tools and Agents must be enabled in the GenAI Admin UI.
   • Confirm each Tool's servicePath/api_docs points to the deployed ION artifact exactly, and each Agent's data.tools list matches the deployed Tool names exactly.
4. Verify supporting IDM setup for PS_endOfShiftReporterAgent.
   • The IDM document type SCP_PS_KHDocuments and the End of Shift template must exist.
5. Verify required security roles are assigned to any user who will interact with the agents.
   • GenAI_User, IDM_User, IONAPI_User, MingleEnterprise, MingleIonEnabled, IBP Security Roles.
