Exporting data in SCV

  1. Select Utilities > SCV Data Viewer. The SCV Data Viewer screen is displayed.
  2. Select a table or datasheet in the left-hand selection panel. The related data is displayed in the details panel.
  3. Click Export. The Export window is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    Type
    The type of field selected for the export. Possible values:
    • CSV
    • EXCEL
    Use Datasource
    Indicates if the file is exported to the specified data source or uploaded through the browser.
    Note: 
    • By default, this switch is set to Off.
    • If this switch is On, the file is exported from the specified data source.
    • If this switch is set to Off, the export file is selected from the browser.
    Data Source
    The name of the source from which data is exported to. Select from a list of all S3 and FTP data sources.
    Note: 
    • This field is enabled only when the Use Datasource switch is set to On.
    • The File-type data sources are not supported.
    File
    The name of the file used for exporting.
    Note: 
    • If the Use Datasource switch is set to On, the specified file is written to the data source.
    • If the Use Datasource switch is set to Off, upon running the export, a browser file window is displayed, allowing you to specify the name and location of the file.
    Sheet
    The sheet of the Excel file from which the data must be exported.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the value in the interface Type field is set to Excel.
    File Delimiter
    The character used to separate values in the CSV file. Possible values:
    • Comma
    • Tab
    • Pipe
    Note: This field is displayed only if the value in the interface Type field is set to CSV.
    Field Names In Header Row
    Indicates if the first row of the exported file must contain column header names.
    Number format
    The format to apply to exported numeric values. Accepted values: 0#.-
    Note: This field is displayed only if the value in the interface Type field is set to CSV.
    Date Format
    The date format to be validating date values during import to SCV database date fields. Accepted values: d M y H m s / - : [ ]

    Example syntax:

    • dd/MM/yyyy
    • yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm
    • yyyy-MM-dd [HH: mm:ss]
    Note: 
    • The month and hour indicators must be in upper case.
    • This field is displayed only if the value in the interface Type field is set to CSV.
  5. Click Run. All records and all fields for the selected table are exported to the specified location.
