Simulation output panel

This panel displays the simulation results for the selected Planning Entity (PE) or Aggregate Planning Entity (APE) after a simulation is completed.

These sections are displayed in the Output panel:

  • Forecast and Demand
  • Inventory and Stock Management
  • Replenishment and Order Management
  • Performance and Control
Note:
  • The policy used for the simulation is displayed at the top of the Output panel.
  • The simulation output values are displayed in a grid only after the simulation is completed.
  • By default, all output sections are displayed. You can expand or collapse a section to view or hide the output values.

Forecast and Demand

The Forecast and Demand section contains output values related to forecasting and demand.

This information is displayed in the Forecast and Demand section:

Annual Forecast in use
The forecast type used in the simulation.
Annual Forecast in use value
The total value of the annual forecast used in the simulation.
Daily Forecast
The expected daily demand generated by the forecasting engine.
Forecast Level
The statistical level data generated by the forecasting engine.
Growth
The trend data generated by the forecasting engine.
Forecast over days between orders
The forecasted demand during the replenishment cycle.
Short Forecast over days between orders
The forecasted demand over the planned interval between order placements.
Note: This field is displayed only when the Specified Service Level by Item (SSLI) policy is selected.
Standard Deviation in use
The standard deviation used in the simulation.
Standard Deviation Over Lead Time
The standard deviation during the lead time.

Inventory and Stock Management

The Inventory and Stock Management section contains output values related to inventory and stock levels.

This information is displayed in the Inventory and Stock Management section:

The projected number of days that inventory covers future demand.
Inventory investment
The total financial value of the inventory held.
Turns
The number of times inventory cycled during a specified period.

Replenishment and Order Management

The Replenishment and Order Management section contains output values related to inventory replenishment and order planning.

This information is displayed in the Replenishment and Order Management section:

Number of replenishments per year
The planned frequency of stock replenishments per year.
Leadtime days
The time between placing an order and receiving the stock.
Planned days between orders
The planned interval between two consecutive order placements.
Note:  This field is displayed when the value in the Replenishment method field is set to Preferred lot quantity on the Input panel.
Planned lead time days
The planned time from order placement to receipt.
Planned preferred lot quantity
The planned optimal order quantity for ordering stock.
Note:  This field is displayed when the value in the Replenishment method field is set to Days between orders on the Input panel.
Reorder point
The inventory threshold at which a new order is placed to replenish stock and avoid stock outs.

Performance and Control

The Performance and Control section contains output values related to inventory performance and control.

This information is displayed in the Performance and Control section:

Estimated annual shortages
The projected annual shortage based on current demand trends.
Number of positive periods in first year
The number of periods in the first year during which stock is available and no stock outs occurred.
Planned days cover
The planned number of days that stock must covers before replenishment.
Planned safety factor
