Demand Forecasting Overview

Demand Forecasting provides a planning solution for users in Supply Chain Planning. This enables real-time forecasting of planning entities at aggregate and base forecasting levels. This application is seamlessly integrated with SCP and configured with ease.

Demand Forecasting uses configurable Situations to help users identify and resolve issues with Planning Entity (PE) Forecasts. Forecast Data is stored in each PE for quick access and customization of data.

Demand Forecasting displays information for the selected Business Area (BA). When the selected BA is not Global, a status icon is displayed next to the BA name. For example:

Active (green icon): Indicates that the BA is connected to the source system and is operational.
Inactive (red icon): Indicates that the access to the BA's source system is disabled. Hover over the icon to view the status and reason. The BA’s source system access is disabled.
