Pick Property
This menu option allows the customization of the properties displayed on a plansheet by selecting, ordering, and saving them for standalone or multi-panel plansheets, specific to each Planning Engine model. This feature replaces the Element Browser for properties when enabled.
You can access the
option via the right-click menu on a dimension header (top or left) for Property. Upon selection, a pop-up window is displayed with the following fields and options:- Swap List: Consists of two sections:
- Selected: Displays the properties currently shown on the plansheet.
- Available: Displays the properties available for selection but not currently displayed.
- Search Field: Allows searching within each section using a simple “Contains” filter.
- Revert to Default Button: Resets properties to their default settings.
- Sorting Icon: Sorts the 'Available' section alphabetically (A–Z or Z–A) or removes sorting.
- Arrows: Move selected properties between the 'Selected' and 'Available' sections.
- Drag-and-Drop: Enables reordering of properties in both sections. The order in the 'Selected' section is saved and applied.
Changes are applied only when you click
and saved for the current user. If no changes are made, the Apply button remains disabled. If all properties are deselected, the Apply button is disabled, and a warning message prompts you to select at least one property.By default, the pop-up displays the last applied selection and order. Properties that are displayed by default in the plan data plansheet are marked by adding the "default’’ label. If the plansheet is closed and reopened, the last applied selection and order are retained.
Note:
- Enabling the Pick Property feature disables the Element Browser for properties. However, the Element Browser remains available for other dimensions like periods and resources.
- If a property is displayed in the slicer, it will automatically appear at the top of the Selected section in the Pick Property pop-up, along with any other selected properties. Future enhancements refines this behavior so that only the property displayed in the slicer is initially defined in the Selected section.
