Planning Board

Use the Planning Board screen to view and manage production schedules.

The Planning Board is an essential tool designed primarily for production schedulers. This tool provides an interactive Gantt chart view, enabling effective management and visualization of production schedules. The Planning Board is composed of multiple sections, each offering a range of functionalities to streamline scheduling tasks.

To access the Planning Board screen, you must select a production scheduling model from the navigation pane. You can switch the view on the planning board based on the appropriate permissions. If you have the permission to view the Master model, you can view the published model views and Master model views. Else, the available views are displayed.

On the Planning Board screen, the resource panels are displayed vertically, and the time axis is displayed horizontally. You can hold the Ctrl key and move the board to view the entire timeline in the planning board. A view cannot have more than five resource panels.

Each resource panel contains resources, and you can view the availabilities of the resource in a color-coded format, as well as the process and tank batches assigned to them. The resource panel can be collapsed or expanded, and the height of the Gantt panel can also be customized by dragging the panel. However, the time axis remains visible for the selected view.

You can use the toolbar to perform various actions such as:

  • Configuring the time axis settings: set the horizon and work area.
  • Change the view.
  • Navigating to a specific date or find the first or last batch in the view.
  • Customizing the scale of the time axis: show a full day, week, or month.
  • Editing the currently open view, if created in SCP.
  • Editing details of process batches.
  • Showing the selected batch network.
  • Allocating the selected batches.
  • Running different SCP system macros
  • Viewing the inventory and utility graphs in the panel, using the specific options in the toolbar.
  • Exporting the view to PDF.

The undo and redo actions (alternatively, Ctrl Z and Ctrl Y) on the toolbar can be used to revert the latest changes.
