Adjustments tab

The Adjustments tab displays modified history or forecast data for a Planning Entity (PE) or Aggregate Planning Entity (APE). Forecast adjustments can be made through the Fiscal or Forecast table. History adjustments can be made through the History table. When you modify a value in an editable cell in the Fiscal, Forecast, or History table, the Adjustments tab is displayed.

The Adjustments tab consists of these tabs:

  • Apply Adjustments: This tab displays a Summary card with all changes and a Detail card with a difference in value change recorded for each period, when adjustments are made. The Summary card displays this information.
    • Adjustment Name: The name of the adjustment.
    • Total Increase: A summation of the positive adjustment values made to the Fiscal, Forecast, or History table. This is indicated using an upward green arrow. By default, this value is set to 0 until an adjustment is made.
    • Total Decrease: A summation of the negative adjustment values made to the Fiscal, Forecast, or History table. This is indicated using a downward red arrow. By default, this value is set to 0.
    Note: Any modified cell in the Fiscal, Forecast, or History table always has an edit indicator at the top left corner.

    The Detail card displays this information:

    • Forecast Change
    • Date and time of adjustment
    • Value change

    You can use these options on the tab:

    • Apply: To apply adjustments made to the PE or APE.
    • Cancel: To discard adjustments that are not applied; to the PE or APE.
    • Undo: To undo the last adjustment.
    • Notes: To include additional details about the adjustments. This option is enabled only when an adjustment is made. You must have the appropriate permission to modify the additional information.
    Note: Only one detail card is displayed for each period. Multiple changes to a single period result in the last change to be displayed.
  • All adjustments: This tab displays all the forecast and history adjustments made to the PE. The information displayed is based on the selected adjustment type.

    You can use these options on the tab:

    • Delete: To remove the adjustments made to the PE or APE.
    • Adjustment details: To view the adjustment details. You can also add or modify the additional information, if you have the appropriate permission.
Note: 
  • In case adjustments are not made, the No new adjustments, all saved adjustments are stored in the All adjustments sub-tab message is displayed on the details card of the Apply Adjustments tab.
  • Adjustments made at aggregate periodicity are saved as daily values prorated based on the system forecast.
  • Forecast and History adjustments cannot be made in the same adjustment event.
  • Adjustments cannot be made to an APE in the History table.

You must select the Apply option to save the current changes as an adjustment. Clicking Save in the Toolbar saves the adjustment(s) to the PE or APE. The adjustment is saved as a single record on the Change Log and the Apply Adjustments tabs reverts to its default state. The graph is updated to reflect the change in the net forecast or net history.
