Batch list

The Batches List is displayed as a data grid when selected from the Gantt chart view toolbar and enables you to perform these actions:

  • View the detailed information about specific batches.
  • Review the batch details in real time and quickly determine the required actions.

The data grid is displayed and overlaps the Gantt chart at the bottom when you click the Batches List option on the toolbar or press the Alt + I key. The batches list grid displays only the batches selected from the work area and for the resources in the current view. You can sort the data that is displayed.

The tab also displays icons representing various type of alerts. You can sort the process batches in the list using the Alert column, to see all process batches within your work area with alerts. See, Batch Interactions.

Batches are grouped by type and displayed on the Process Batches, Tank Batches, and Downtime tabs. The orders related to the selected batches are displayed on the Orders tab and products related to the selected batches are displayed on the Products tab. Batches are sorted based on the start time.

You can use these options on the Batches list panel:

  • Search: Enables you to specify keywords and filter records based on the search criteria.
  • Export: Enables you to export data to the Excel format. The Export option becomes available when data is available. The exported file is named based on the model name and the tab name.
  • Downtime: Enables you to define a downtime for a resource. This option is displayed only on the Downtime tab. See Creating downtime.
  • Personalize Columns: Enables you to select the columns to be displayed in the data grid, by checking or unchecking column names in a dialog. You can access this option by clicking the More icon.
  • Reset to default: Enables you to reset columns displayed in the data grid to the default setting. You can access this option by clicking the More icon.
  • Snap to Batch feature: Enables you to view that location when you right-click a batch row and click the Select batch on planning board option.
  • Group by Attribute feature: Enables you to organize batch records by required visible column using a drop-down selector in the batch list header. This grouping is retained per tab and model, ensuring consistency across sessions.

Records with missing values are grouped under “(Blank)”. Grouping preferences are preserved until the grouped column is removed or manually reset.

Note:
  • The Batches list option is displayed only for the user with the ''Production Scheduling – Show Batch List'' permission.
  • You must have the ''Production Scheduling – Create Downtime'' permission to modify a downtime batch.
  • The Batches List option is disabled if there are no batches associated with the selected view.
  • If you select a batch that has incomplete or missing information, you can view the available information in the data grid. However, the missing information is displayed as Blank.
  • You can select the Cancel option to deselect batches within the Gantt chart to display all the batches in the current open model within the work area.
  • You can use the search box in the data grid, to specify keywords and the records displayed in the batches list are filtered based on the search criteria. This performs a free search in the Process, Tank, or Downtime tabs. This error message is displayed when the keyword in the search field is not matching with existing records: No batches were found based on the search criteria.
