Defining planning engine data interface services of type excel

To define the Planning Engine interface service:

  1. Select Configuration > Common > Interface Services. The Interface Services screen is displayed.
  2. Click New. The New Interface Service screen is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Interface Type
    The type of interface. The value must be set to EXCEL.
    Data Entity
    The data entity to which the interface must be mapped. The value must be set to Planning Engine.
    Interface Direction
    The interface direction for the interface service. The value must be set to Import or Export.
  4. Click OK. A new Interface Services screen is displayed.
  5. Specify the required information on these tabs:
    • Interface Details
    • Data Source
    • Planning Engine
    • Import Behavior
    • Mappings
    • Export Constants
    • Export Filter
  6. Click Save.
