Queries Overrides tab

You can use this tab to retain custom query modifications when you upgrade the Planning Engine Definition (PED). The application stores the overrides automatically, during upgrade process. However, you cannot override the standard queries.

To create a query override:

  1. Access the Queries Overrides tab of the PED.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click New (+). The Query Override details screen is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
A unique name of the query override.
Note: An error message is displayed if the specified name already exists.
    Display Name
The name to be displayed for the query override.
    Category
The category associated with the query override.
  5. Click Add Condition to define logic for the override. The rows are displayed.
  6. Specify this information for each condition:

The condition or logic to be applied for the query override. Possible values:
    • Add
    • Limit
    • Reset
    Operator
The operator used for creating a query override condition.
    Field
The field derived from the class.
Note: The value in this field is formatted as Class.name, Bucket.name, etc.
    Value
The value to which the condition is applied.
    Note:
    • You can use the Move Up or Move Down option, to change the order of conditions displayed.
    • You can use the Delete option, to remove the selected condition.
  7. Click Back and Update Changes to save the query override.
Note:
  • The Queries Overrides tab follow the same validation rules as standard queries. Each query override must refer only a class and bucket. If fields from multiple classes are included, an error message is displayed.
  • The Planning Engine uses the combined list of queries and query overrides when created from the PED.
  • You can perform these actions after clicking Save:
    • Sort query overrides list using filters.
    • Validate all query overrides using the Validation option.
    • Duplicate an override and create a new override using the Duplicate option.
    • Import new or existing query override using the Template Migration option.
    • Export overrides using the Export Overrides or Export Overrides as Zip option.
    • Reset query overrides through the System Settings screen.
