Standard Deviation

The Standard Deviation (SD) summary statistic (sum-stat) is calculated by the forecast engine and generated as an engine output. This sum-stat is calculated whenever the system forecast is regenerated for the applicable forecast level.

The sum-stat is calculated using Sales Units for the tactical and strategic forecast levels and is displayed on the Details tab of the Information panel with these codes:

• Standard Deviation Sales Units - Tactical: SDT
• Standard Deviation Sales Units - Strategic: SDS

You can use the Lucene query to search for a range of sum-stats in the Selection panel. For example, if you specify the "sum_stats.SDT:[200 TO 500]" query in a search, PEs or APEs with SDT sum-stat values within the range of 200 and 500 are displayed in the Selection panel.
