Forecast Settings tab
This tab displays the forecast settings as defined during the initialization process. This information is specified in the Forecast Settings tab:
- Forecast Level
- The name of the forecast level. Possible values:
- Freeze Forecast
- Customer Forecast
- Tactical Forecast
- Strategic Forecast
Note: This value cannot be modified. - Display Name
- The name that is displayed for the forecast level.Note: If this value is not specified, the forecast level is used.
- Period Type
- The periodicity of the forecast level. Possible values:
- Days
- Weeks
- Months
- Forecast Retention Period
- The number of forecast level versions that are retained. The possible values range from 1 to 13.
- Periods Used
- The number of periods at the specified forecast level to use in the consolidated Net forecast value.
- All Periods
- The total number of periods for the forecast level.Note: This value must be greater than the Periods Used field value.
- Freeze
- Indicates that the forecast level is of the Freeze type.
As the application progresses to the next period, the net forecast becomes the freeze
forecast. Note: This option is set to On for the Freeze forecast level. Else this option is set to Off and cannot be modified.
- Forecast Engine

Indicates the forecast engine used to generate forecasts at the current forecast level.
Possible values: All available forecast engines
Note: This option is set to On for Tactical and Strategic forecast levels, else Off and cannot be modified. - Data Series
- Indicates data series is used for the forecast.Note:
- If this option is set to On, the value is set to Customer Forecast (system defined data series) and cannot be modified.
- This option is only displayed for Customer forecast level.
- Include MI
- Indicates whether the Market Intelligence is included in the forecast. Possible
values:
- On: Market Intelligence is included in the Forecast Level.
- Off: Market Intelligence is not included in the Forecast Level.
- Enabled
- Indicates whether the forecast level is created and available. Possible values:
- On: Forecast level is created and available.
- Off: Forecast level is not created.
- Publish Daily
- Indicates if daily forecast is published for the selected forecast level.
Possible values:
- On: Daily forecast is published.
This value is applied to all the levels below to the specified forecast level. For example, if this switch is set to On at Customer level, this switch is also set to On for the Freeze level.
- Off: Daily forecast is not published.
This value is applied to all the levels above the specified forecast level. For example, if this switch is set to Off at Customer Level, this switch is also set to Off for the Tactical level.
Note:- By default, this switch is set to Off.
- This switch is not displayed if the Forecast Level field is set to Strategic Forecast.
- On: Daily forecast is published.
- Forecast Retention Period
- The number of Forecast level versions that are retained. The possible values range from 1 to 13.
