Graph panel

The Graph panel provides a visual representation of historical and forecast data for any selected Planning Entities (PE). Data is displayed in the Graph panel based on the periodicity defined in Demand Planning Workbench.

The Graph panel displays a line graph with this information:

  • Net Forecast line
  • System Forecast line
  • Sales History
  • Net History line
  • Trend Line
Note: The trend line is displayed only when the selected periodicity matches the selected forecast level for the PE, and the PE type is Forecasting. For example:
    • If the selected periodicity is Monthly, the trend line is displayed based on the level, growth, and outliers of data returned at the monthly forecast level.
    • If the selected periodicity is Weekly, the trend line is displayed based on the level, growth, and outliers of data returned at the weekly forecast level.
    • If the periodicity selected is Calendar Months, the trend line is not displayed.
  • Freeze Forecast line
  • Tactical Forecast line
  • Strategic Forecast line
  • Additional lines which can be enabled for defined data series
  • Outliers

You can drag the net forecast or net history line in the Graph panel to make an adjustment to the data. Upon dragging the net line, the Add Adjustment window is displayed with the following information:

  • Adjustment Period
  • Adjustment Value
  • New Net Forecast or New Net History
Note: By default, the Adjustment Value, and New Net Forecast, or New Net History field values are updated based on the position to which you drag the net line.

You can also manually update the Adjustment Value, New Net Forecast, or New Net History field values, if required. When you click OK, the application creates an unapplied adjustment or updates the existing adjustment, if available, for the selected period.
