Last 12 months net history

The last 12 months net history summary statistic (sum-stat) is calculated as a sum of the last full 12 fiscal months net history.

If a Planning Entity (PE) or Aggregate Planning Entity (APE) has less than 12 months net history, only the available full months are considered in the calculation. The full month must align with the calendar definition for the Business Area (BA). For example, if the current period is FY23 M05 (24/04/2023 – 21/05/2023) and the Forecast From Date is 08/05/24, the sum-stat is calculated as the sum of the net history from FY22 M03 up to and including FY24 M04. However, FY23 M05 is not considered for the calculation, as this is not a full month.

The sum-stat is calculated when the net history is updated for a BA. This is calculated using Sales Units and Value, and is displayed on the Details tab of the Information panel with these codes:

  • Last 12 months history – Sales Units (TMHS)
  • Last 12 months history – Value (TMHV)

You can use the Lucene query to search for a range of sum-stats in the Selection panel. For example, if you specify the "sum_stats.TMHS:[3000 TO 3500]" query in a search, PEs or APEs with TMHS sum-stat values within the range of 3000 and 3500 are displayed in the Selection panel.

Note:
  • This sum-stat is displayed on the Details tab only after changes to the net history of the PE or APE is saved.
  • The last 12 months net history sum-stat is calculated for all the PE types, including reporting and forecasting APEs.
