Update Children
You can use the Update Children option on the Demand Planning Workbench screen to apply the selected Aggregate Planning Entity (APE) settings to the linked base Planning Entities (PEs). This ensures consistency across planning hierarchies, reduces manual effort, and minimizes the risk of configuration errors. Streamlined configuration and optional forecast generation help users to manage large-scale planning scenarios with greater speed, accuracy, and control. For example, if an APE has a discontinuation date set, users can push that date to all child PEs in one step. This approach eliminates manual updates and ensures alignment throughout the planning hierarchy.
The Update base planning entities of currently selected aggregate window is displayed if you click the Update Children option.
