Modifying user settings

In SCP, you can set the user information, Language and display preferences in worksheet and plansheets. You can also set a worksheet or plansheet as your home page. This enables you to navigate to the selected worksheet or plansheet when you log in to the application.

To modify the settings for the current user:

  1. On the main toolbar, select Settings.
    Note: You cannot modify the User Name.
  2. Modify this information as required on the User Details tab:
    Display name
    The user's display name. If no value is specified in this field, the User Name is used as the Display name.
    E-mail Address
    The e-mail address of the user which is used to receive direct notifications from SCP. If the e-mail address is not specified, the user does not receive notifications.
  3. Modify this information as required on the Language tab:
    Language
    The language to be displayed in the application for the current user. Possible values:
    • Chinese (China)
    • Czech
    • Dutch
    • English
    • French
    • German
    • Italian
    • Japanese
    • Portuguese (Brazil)
    • Russian
    • Spanish
    • Swedish
    • Thai
    Note: 
    • This field is disabled and cannot be modified when users are externally managed such as using Infor OS in a Multi-tenant environment. However, the value can be modified by On-premise and Single tenant users who are using Windows authentication.
    • The Language and Locale field settings must match to avoid inconsistencies in data viewing within SCP. For example, when the Language is set to German the Locale must be set to German (Germany). If the Locale and the Language settings do not match, English (United States) is used as default, regardless of whether users are internally or externally managed.
    Locale
    The region or locale of the current user.
    Note: 
    • The date and numerical formatting vary based on this value.
    • The Language and Locale field settings must match to avoid inconsistencies in data viewing within SCP. For example, when the Language is set to German the Locale must be set to German (Germany). If the Locale and the Language settings do not match, English (United States) is used as default, regardless of whether users are internally or externally managed.
    Time Zone
    The time zone of the current user, which can be selected from a list of supported time zones. The date and time display values vary based on this value.
    Note: This field is disabled and cannot be modified when users are externally managed such as using Infor OS in a Multi-tenant environment. However, this field can be modified by On-premise and Single tenant users who are using Windows authentication.
  4. Modify this information as required on the Display Preferences tab:
    Analysis Cycle
    Item Attribute
    Select the display settings for the item attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Location Attribute
    Select the display settings for the location attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Period Attribute
    Select the display settings for the period attribute based on these options:
    • Period Label
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    Measure Attribute
    Select the display settings for the measure attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Extended Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Planning Engine
    Resource Attribute
    Select the display settings for the resource attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
    Period Attribute
    Select the display settings for the period attribute based on these options:
    • Description
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    Property Attribute
    Select the display settings for the property attribute based on these options:
    • Name
    • Description
    • (Name) Description
    • Description (Name)
  5. Specify the required information on the Home Page tab. See, Setting the Home page.
  6. Click Save. The User settings is saved and the changes are applied to the current session.
