Compare Production
You can use these sub-panels on the Compare Production screen:
- Resources Sum Chart: To view each period by a dual bar chart, where
the scenario 1 value is marked in blue and the scenario 2 value is marked in purple.
The label of the period considers the settings of the Period parameter on the Planning Engine screen. This screen can be accessed from the
option of the menu.- If the Period parameter is set to Start Date, the label displays the bucket start date.
- If the Period parameter is set to Description, the label displays the bucket description.
- If the Period parameter is set to End Date, the label displays the bucket end date.
Note:- This Resources Sum Chart is available only when both Planning Horizons are
identical. Else, no Resources Sum Chart is displayed and this error message is
displayed:
The Resources Sum Chart is unavailable for different planning engine planning horizons.
- The key values of the Resources Sum Chart within the grid are presented and calculated for each scenario, regardless of differences in the horizons.
- If the On:
- The corresponding row is not displayed in the chart (all periods hidden) when the values for a property (Production Hours, Regular Capacity, Overtime Capacity, Maintenance) are identical between both scenarios throughout the Planning Horizon.
- The corresponding row is displayed (all periods displayed regardless of differences) when the property values are identical only for specific periods between both scenarios.
s
switch is set to - If the Off, all bars are displayed regardless of the differences. switch is set to
- When you hover over a group of bars that belong to the same period, a tooltip is displayed that contains the scenario 1, and scenario 2 values with the value assessment indicator beside the Difference and the Difference %.
These values are displayed on the Resources Sum chart:
- Production Hours
- Regular Capacity
- Overtime Capacity
- Maintenance
- Alerts Count: To view the number of resources of a given class that
have at least one alert in the first X periods. X is presented by a variable called
Exception Queries Nb Buckets and by default it is equals
8.
A two-bar chart represents each alert, one blue bar representing Scenario 1 value and one purple bar representing Scenario 2 value, allowing you to view and compare the production alerts. The supported production alerts are as follows:
- Resource Capacity Alerts
- Expedited Production Alerts
- Maximum Planned Production Alerts
- Maximum Planned Production Group Alerts
When you hover over an alert bar, a tooltip is displayed that contains the scenario 1, and scenario 2 values with the value assessment indicator beside the Difference and the Difference %.
Note:- The display name for Alerts is used if populated. Else, the names are used.
- Null alerts are not displayed.
- Key Values: To view and compare production key values presented
within the grid. This displays the comparison results with the value assessment indicator.
The Key Values panel comprises of these groups:
- Alerts Key Values where the following properties are displayed:
- Over capacity
- Expedited production
- Over max planned production
- Over max planned production group
- Resource Chart Key Values where the following properties are displayed:
- Regular capacity
- Overtime capacity
- Production hrs
- Maintenance
- Other Key Values where the following properties are displayed:
- Depletion
- Released production
- Capacity
- Regular production hrs
- Shifted yield
- Overtime production hrs
You can sort the values within each group by sorting each column in the grid. By default, the properties are sorted by Difference % from highest value to lowest value.
- Alerts Key Values where the following properties are displayed:
- If the switch is enabled, the Key values or KPIs that differ between scenario 1 and scenario 2 are only displayed in the Key Values section. Consequently, the values are updated in the grid, Alerts count chart, and Resources Sum Chart.
- If the switch is disabled, all Key values or KPIs are displayed in the Key Values section regardless of differences between both scenarios. Subsequently, the values are updated in the grid, Alerts count chart and Resources sum chart.
- If you click the 8. Key Value & KPI Review multi-panel plansheet is displayed in a new tab. or option, the
- You can update the values displayed in comparison screen by clicking the option.
You can use the value assessment indicator for two sub-panels, which is presented by an arrow and is interpreted as follows:
- A red arrow headed up means scenario 2 value has increased compared to scenario 1 value and a higher value has a bad impact on the supply plan.
- A red arrow headed down means scenario 2 value has decreased compared to scenario 1 value and a lower value has a bad impact on the supply plan.
- A green arrow headed up means scenario 2 value has increased compared to scenario 1 value and a higher value has a good impact on the supply plan.
- A green arrow headed down means scenario 2 value has decreased compared to scenario 1 value and a lower value has a good impact on the supply plan.
- A grey arrow headed up means scenario 2 value has increased compared to scenario 1 value and a higher value has a neutral impact on the supply plan.
- A grey arrow headed down means scenario 2 value has decreased compared to scenario 1 value and a lower value has a neutral impact on the supply plan.
- The arrow is not displayed for values where the difference is zero.
