Internally managed users

The security configuration of users and roles is managed internally for the on-premises or single-tenant users (which use Windows authentication). If you are an internally managed user, you can view a list of all users (defined with roles) in the SCP application on the Users screen. The Users screen can be accessed from the Security menu.

These actions can be performed on the Users screen:
  • Modify the required field information of the selected user using the Edit option.
Note: The settings of the Language and Locale field must match to avoid inconsistencies in data when viewing in SCP. If settings of the Locale and the Language fields do not match, English (United States) is used as default, regardless of whether users are internally or externally managed.
  • Add users to the SCP application from the external security store using the Register option.
    Note:
    • A valid username (domain user or in the IFS active directory) and an authorized role must be specified to add the user.
    • The SCP application does not allow to login automatically, if a role assigned to the user is not part of the authenticated group.
  • Assign SCP roles to the selected user.
  • Export the user details using the Export option.
  • Unregister users from the SCP application using the Unregister option.
    Note:
    • The Unregister option is disabled when multiple rows are selected.
    • A user with a lock on a scenario is selected for deletion. If you select Yes when the delete record confirmation message displayed, the user responsible for holding the lock on a scenario is deleted. The scenario processing is still available by unlocking the scenario, using a different user with the admin permissions.
