Manual Selection

You can select the required elements from the Available panel and move these selected elements to the Selected panel using the Right Arrow. All the item or location hierarchies that are defined for the cycle are available to select in the Hierarchy context list.
Note: The hierarchy nodes available for selection are restricted based on the data security settings of the user.

The children of the hierarchy node selected in the Hierarchy context is displayed in the Available section. Elements can be selected only from one hierarchy.

Note: If a child element of an aggregate node is selected, only the child nodes are saved. The top level of a hierarchy cannot be included in the selection.

You can remove an element from the Selected section using the Left Arrow.

The Hierarchy context field determines the aggregate and nodes that are available for selection in the Selection panel. A list of the available aggregates is displayed when you click on the Hierarchy context field. You can select the aggregates and can move from the Available section to the Selected section using the Right Arrow. You can also create a selection using a filter.

Note:
  • If a child node of an aggregate node is selected, the child nodes are stored. However, the top level of a selected hierarchy cannot be selected.
  • You can remove the selected aggregates from the Selected section using the arrow.
  • The selection details form returns to a read-only state after saving, and the modifications are persisted to the repository and OLAP.
  • You cannot use My Selections that are being developed.
  • While the selection is being saved, there is a visual indication that the selection is still building and hence not yet available for use.
