No Forecast rule
The No Forecast type situation is used to identify Planning Entities (PE) that do not have a forecast. The No Forecast creation rule determines the forecast level to which the situation rule is applied. The rule can be configured to set a limit for the creation of situations when there are at least X periods within the most recent Y periods in history.
This information is displayed on the Rule Details screen when the value of the Type field is set to No Forecast:
- Creation Rule
- Unique name of the creation rule for the current situation.Note: The value in this field value cannot be modified.
- Description
- The description of the creation rule.
- Type
- The type of situation.Note: By default, this value is set to No Forecast and cannot be modified.
- No Forecast Generated For
- The forecast level to which the No Forecast rule is applied.
Possible values:
- Tactical Forecast
- Strategic Forecast
Note: By default, this value is set to Tactical forecast. - Where
- Controls the history type used to trigger the situation. Possible values:
- Net History
Note: The combination of values specified in the Where, Has Values In, and Within the Previous ‘’X’’ Periods fields create the basis of the rule that triggers the creation of a situation for a PE without a forecast. - Has Values In
- Controls the number of history values required to be present for the No Forecast type
situation to apply.Note: You must specify a positive integer.

- Controls the horizon of recent history when verifying the history values.Note: You must specify a positive integer.
