Aggregate Planning Entity

An Aggregate Planning Entity (APE) represents a group of Channel Products (CP), which is used to interact with the user. An APE is defined based on attributes from Product and Channel. For example:
  • Product at Region: If the APE is a combination of the base product, and region is an attribute of a Warehouse or Customer based on the Channel definition.
  • Product Line at Region: If Product Line is an attribute of the product, and the region is an attribute of Warehouse or Customer, based on the Channel definition.
Note: If Channel is set to Customer, an APE can be Product at Warehouse, where the selected warehouse is the default shipping location for the customer.

These are the various APE types:

  • Forecasting: To generate the forecast, modify adjustments in the APEs, and apply to the base CP.
  • Reporting: To view the sum of forecasts from the base CP.
Note: This APE type cannot create or modify the forecast.
