Deleting forecast engine

You can delete an existing forecast engine, if the forecast engine is not used as the default engine.

To delete a forecast engine:

Select Global > Business Area > Configuration > Forecast Engines. The Forecast Engines screen is displayed.
Select the required forecast engine.
Click Delete. The selected forecast engine is deleted after confirmation of the delete action and successful validation.
These validations are performed in the following order:
- Ensure that the selected forecast engine is not used as an override at a Planning Entity, or Aggregate Planning Entity. Else, this message is displayed:

The forecast engines {0} selected are currently used by Planning Entities or Aggregate Planning Entities. 
Deleting the forecast engine will revert the Planning Entities and Aggregate Planning Entities to the default forecast engine the next time a forecast is generated. 
Are you sure you want to delete the selected forecast engines?
```
  Where {0} is the display name of the forecast engine that meets the criteria.
- Ensure that the selected forecast engine is not used as the default forecast engine. Else, this message is displayed:
```
Unable to delete the forecast engine {0} as it currently set to be a default forecast engine.
```
  Where {0} is the display name of the forecast engine that meets the criteria.
