Enabling a feature

You can enable features with the Available status, provided you have one of these permissions or roles:
  • Feature Updates - Enable (Configuration)
  • IBP-SystemAdministrator or Infor-SystemAdministrator role
You can enable the required features, using these screens:
  • Main features list screen

    You can use these options to:
    • Enable Selected: Enable one or more selected features with the Available status.
    • Enable All: Enable all features with the Available status. This option is available if at least one feature has the Available status.

    When you enable a feature, a warning message is displayed. The status of the selected features is set to Enabled upon clicking OK, and the features list is refreshed with the new status. The value in the Date Enabled field is set to the current date.

    Note: A verification is performed when you click OK, to determine if the feature includes dependent features. If exists, the dependant features are also enabled.
  • Feature details screen

    You can use the Enable option to enable the selected feature. A warning message is displayed. When you click OK, the status of the selected features is set to Enabled. The Status field is highlighted with a green background and the Date Enabled field is set to the current date. An additional lock symbol is also displayed.

    Note: The additional lock symbol is not displayed if one of the following feature types is enabled:
    • 3 - Feature toggle (non-disruptive) reversible
    • 5 - Feature toggle(disruptive) reversible
    • -3 - Feature toggle(non-disruptive) reversible
    • -5 - Feature toggle(disruptive) reversible

You may need to login again to view the latest changes after enabling a feature. The accessibility information can be viewed on the Details tab of the feature. The details of the enabled features are included in the Audit log.
