Accuracy tab
The Accuracy tab displays historical net forecasts data, enabling you to evaluate the reliability of forecasts.
These are the types of the Accuracy table:
- Strategic accuracy: This table is displayed when the periodicity is set to Months or CMonths. The Strategic accuracy is calculated over 12 periods, which includes the current forecast period and 11 historical periods. The Rolling column displays the sum for each forecast version, which includes 12 forecast periods.
- Tactical accuracy: This table is displayed when the periodicity is set to Weeks. The Tactical accuracy is calculated over 13 periods, which includes the current forecast period and twelve historical periods. A rolling total is calculated for each forecast version, which includes 13 forecast periods.
The accuracy table is only displayed when the periodicity selector is one of these values:
- Months
- Weeks
- CMonths
The Accuracy table has an offset of 1 period for the accuracy calculation. The offset plan is the last published forecast for the first period in each Forecast Versions row. These plan values are color-coded blue in the chart for easy identification. The offset plan does not exist for the current forecast period.
The rows in the table specify the forecast versions while the columns specify the forecast periods.
The Summary rows are included in the bottom of the table, with these values:
- Offset Plan
- Net History
- Outlook
- Accuracy
The accuracy calculated for the table is the percentage forecast of demand, rounded off to 2 decimal points and color coded based on the percentage value. This accuracy calculation is automatically generated whenever a planning entity moves to a new period and the table is updated with the latest accuracy calculation. You can export the accuracy grid data in excel format.
