Situations
Situations are used to identify Planning Entity (PE) that meet certain conditions and notify users for review. However, all identified conditions are not issues, which require attention from the user. Situations can be configured to report on specific criteria as required to the business. Situations are important when managing large volumes of PEs. As a result, users can focus primarily on the affected PEs.
These are the examples of situations:
- No Forecast: The PE without a system-generated forecast.
- Forecast Magnitude: The system-generated forecast is a specified magnitude larger or smaller than the history.
- Forecast Change: The system-generated forecast is a specified magnitude larger or smaller than the previously generated system forecast.
- Accuracy: The forecast accuracy is not within the acceptable range.
