Business Areas

A Business Area (BA) is a partition that is used to define and configure data selection. Multiple BAs can be created to support business requirements.

BAs can be created from these data sources:

  • SCV (Profile based)
  • M3 (Company-Division based)
Note: The interaction between plans from different business areas is not possible.

The configuration information of each BA is available on the Business Area Definition screen, which can be accessed from the Configuration menu. You must have appropriate permissions to view the Business Area Definition screen.

You can use the Business Area Definition screen to:
  • View the configuration details of BAs that are created.
  • Create a BA using the Create Business Area list menu option.
  • Initialize any SCP module for the selected BA using the Initialize option. See, Initialization Wizard.
