Cycle Periods

Cycle periods contain the calendar date range for which a cycle definition is applicable and the related reviewed plans.

Process > Cycle Periods

You can perform these tasks on the Cycle Period list page:

  • Manually create a cycle period using the New option.
  • Delete a cycle period using the Delete option.
  • Manually execute the system level macro using the Execute System Macro option.
  • Refresh the cycle period's status, using the Refresh option.

On the Cycle Period Details page:

  • To start, complete, or abort the cycle period, click Process > Abort, or Complete.
  • To pause a cycle period (to update the period with the latest configuration data), select a running cycle period and click Process > Pause.
  • To rebuild the current cycle period with status Running or Completed, click Process > Rebuild. The status is changed to Unavailable. You can rebuild a cycle period only if you have the required permission.
  • To refresh the Paused Cycle Period, click Process > Resume with Refresh. The status is changed to Running. The configuration data for the cycle period is updated.
  • To reset the Paused Cycle Period, click Process > Resume. The status is changed to Running. The configuration data for the cycle period is not updated.
  • To download the AP Model from a Cycle Period or Scenario, click Data Transfer > Download Model. This option is displayed only if you have ‘Download Model in Process’ permission.
Note: The downloaded AP model includes small rounding differences to internal values. However, this should not be an issue when viewing the downloaded model in the AP application. If a solve is executed on the downloaded model for a similar cost, the solution can differ to that of the original solve.
  • To archive a cycle period, click Process > Archive. Accordingly, the cycle period's scenario values and history are archived to separate tables. You can only archive cycle periods with the status Completed or Aborted and the Available field is set to Available.
  • To restore an archived cycle period, click Restore. Accordingly, the cycle period's scenario values and history are reloaded to the repository. You can only restore the cycle periods that have the archive icon displayed in the Available column.
  • To manually run a macro for the cycle period on the execute macro page, and click Data Transfer > Execute Macro.
