default property

Default property has an additional time-independent default value specified on the Class and optionally overridden per Resource of the Class.

An explicit reference to the time-independent Default Property value is denoted as property name (*), where property name refers to the time-dependent value. If the time dependent value is not specified for the Default Property, the Default Property value from the Resource is used.

A Default Property is always an atomic property.
