Viewing Notes plansheet
The planning engine context is determined by the planning engine cycle (if applicable) and the planning engine in which the Plansheet is being displayed. The parameter context is applicable only when viewed within a multi-panel and when the Resource, Property, or Period parameter is passed to the plansheet. The in-line grid filtering is populated with all the relevant context values and can be modified by the user.
- Planning engine do not use a hierarchical structure for Resource, Property, and Period when the values are passed to the Notes plansheet, Therefore, the notes are filtered based on the absolute values.
- All parameters are not required to be passed to the plansheet. The notes are filtered based on the passed values.
You can access Notes plansheet only if these conditions are met:
- A planning engine is available and you have permission to access.
- A Notes plansheet is defined and must be accessible to you and the Planning Engine.
The Notes plansheet contains a Summary section, the Details and Context tabs. The Summary section lists the summarized version of the Note details.
This information is displayed for each Note in the Summary section:
- Note Summary
- Priority
- Note Type
- Date
The data in the Summary section is displayed in descending order by date. The first row is selected by default. You can swap from summary view to filter grid view using the option on the toolbar.
The Details tab displays the detail information related to the Note selected in the Summary section. This information is displayed in the Details tab:
- Summary
- A summary of the note.
- Priority
- The priority assigned to the note.
- Date
- The date on which the note is created.
- Note Type
- The type of the note.
- User
- The name of the user who created the note.
- Details
- The details of the note.
- Preview
- A thumbnail of the screen capture, with the option, enabling you to expand the screen capture for a better view.
The Context tab displays the context in which the selected note is created. The Context tab replaces the Details tab when you select the Context tab. This information is displayed in the Context tab:
- Planning Engine Definition
- The planning engine definition in which the note is created.Note: If specified, the display name of the Planning Engine Definition is considered.
- Planning Engine Cycle
- The Planning Engine Cycle for which the note is created. Note: If specified, the display name of the Planning Engine Cycle is considered.
- Planning Engine
- The Planning Engine for which the note is created. Note: If specified, the display name of the Planning Engine is considered.
- Plansheet
- The plansheet for which the note is created. Note: If specified, the display name of the Plansheet is considered.
- Class
- The class to which the resource belongs (if applicable) for the created note.
- This value is not specified if the resource type is set to Query.
- The class name and description are displayed as specified in the settings for resource attribute.
- Resource
- The resource for which the note is created, if applicable.Note: The Resource name and description are displayed as specified in the User settings for the resource attribute. For example, resource (resource description).
- Period
- The period for which the note is created, if applicable.Note:
- The period date and description are displayed as specified in the User settings for the period attribute. For example, resource (resource description). For example, Description.
- The period is displayed as N/A if the period is the sum of multiple periods.
- The period is displayed as Default if the period is the default values (*).
- Property
- The property for which the note is created, if applicable.Note:
- The property name and translated description are displayed as specified in the User settings for the property attribute. For example, Property (Property description).
- The count_x properties are displayed as Count.
You can use the Null if the context is not passed to the plansheet. Therefore, all notes for the planning engine are displayed regardless of the option setting.

If this option is set to On:
- The grid filter is cleared and populated with planning engine context (Planning Engine
Cycle and Planning Engine) and passed parameter context (Resource, Property, and Period).
Note: If context is not passed, the context is considered as all periods, properties, and resources.
- The plansheet is refreshed based on the new filter grid values.
- The notes are displayed in descending order by date.
If this option is set to Off:
- The grid filter is cleared and populated with the planning engine context (Planning Engine Cycle and Planning Engine).
- The plansheet is refreshed and displays all planning engine notes that are associated with the planning engine. The passed parameter is not considered.
- The notes are displayed in descending order by date.
The plansheet contains a toolbar that allows you to use these options:
- Delete: To delete the selected note.Note:
- This option is only displayed when you have the Notes - Delete (Planning Engine) permission.
- You cannot delete notes using mobile.
- This option is enabled when at least one note is selected.
- Filter Grid: To replace the
Summary view with a Filter Grid view. A scroll
bar is used to display the hidden columns when all columns are not visible on the screen.
You can perform these actions in the Filter Grid view:
- The Details and the Context tabs information can be hidden using the
option.Note: his option is available only when you select the Filter Grid view.
- The details of the selected note can be displayed using the Note: This option is available only when you select the option.

- The Summary section is displayed using the option.Note: When switching to the Summary view, filtering and sorting that is applied to the grid are maintained.
- The information is displayed in descending order by date. The sort order can be modified by clicking on the related header.
- The rows can be filtered using these standard filter options:
- The passed parameters and the planning engine context fields are populated in the inline grid filter.
- The Priority and Note types can be filtered using a multi-select list.
- Filtering on Resource, Property, and Period displays only notes created for that value. A note without a context (Resource, Period, Property) is not considered.
- The context-filtered fields (such as Resource, Property, Period) can be modified to deviate from the original context.
- The Details and the Context tabs information can be hidden using the
option.
- Previously applied sorting and filtering actions are not considered.
- The original context of the plansheet is applied. For example, the listed notes are based on the planning engine and the passed parameters.
- The default Summary view with the details is displayed.
- The first record in the Summary view is selected and the details are displayed accordingly.

changes happen when you click the

- Note: This is different from the online help which is specific to using and accessing all plansheets.

- : To expand the current plansheet panel to fit the full display area of the browser, which enables you to view additional columns or rows of the table, if applicable.
- The other panels in the multi-panel layout are not displayed.
- The expand toolbar option is updated as Restore to Normal Size. This option is used to revert the plansheet panel to the original size, and restores other panels, if any.
