Standard SCP roles

Roles are categorized according to functionality areas, modules, and processes. Additionally, there is a main system administrator role. Although the roles can overlap, the xx Main Systems Administrator role is all-encompassing. It is not necessary to have additional roles such as Demand Planning Main System Administrator or Demand Planning Administrator in the Process module. In this case, xx refers to Demand, Supply, IBP, Inventory, Planning Engine, Production Scheduling, or SCV.

These roles are available in the SCP application:

  • XX Main Systems Administrator

    This is the top role and the user with this role has access to all functionalities related to the specified module. For example, the Demand Planning Main systems Administrator role has access to all functionalities related to the Demand module. This role is applicable to all modules and the roles are as follows:

    • Planning Engine Main System Administrator
    • Production Scheduling Main System Administrator
    • Demand Planning Main System Administrator
    • Inventory Planning Main System Administrator
    • SCV Main System Administrator
    • IBP Main System Administrator
    • Supply Planning Main System Administrator
  • XX Administrator in the XX module

    The user with this role has access to all functionalities within the cycle module, that is, worksheet screens. This role is applicable to Demand, Supply (SPLS), IBP, Inventory modules and the related roles are as follows:

    • Demand Planning Administrator user in the Demand module
    • Supply Planning Administrator user in the Supply module
    • Inventory Planning Administrator user
    • IBP Administrator user in the Demand module
    • IBP Administrator user in the Finance module
    • IBP Administrator user in the Integrated module
    • IBP Administrator user in the Supply module
  • XX Administrator in the Process module

    The user with this role has access to all process functionalities in the XX module. This role is mainly related to functionality under the process menu; however, this role is also related to process functionality which is accessible in the cycle module, that is, worksheet screens. This role is applicable to Demand, Supply (SPLS), IBP, Inventory modules and the related roles are as follows:

    • Demand Planning Administrator user in the Process module
    • IBP Administrator user in the Process module
    • Supply Planning Administrator user in the Process module
    • Inventory Planning Administrator user in the Process module
  • XX Participating user in xx module

    The user with this role has access to functionalities properties that are accessible in the cycle module, that is, worksheet screens. This role is applicable to Demand, Supply (SPLS), Supply (PE), IBP, Inventory modules and the related roles are as follows:

    • IBP Participating user in the Demand module
    • IBP Participating user in the Finance module
    • IBP Participating user in the Integrated module
    • IBP Participating user in the Supply module
    • Demand Planning Participating user in the Demand module
    • Supply Planning Participating user in the Supply module
    • Inventory Planning Participating user
    • Planning Engine Participating user
  • XX Read-only user in xx module

    The user with this role has read-only access to functionalities that are accessible in the cycle module, that is, worksheet screens. The user can only view data with the exception of creating notes. This role is applicable to all modules and the related roles are as follows:

    • IBP Read-only user in the Demand module
    • IBP Read-only user in the Finance module
    • IBP Read-only user in the Integrated module
    • IBP Read-only user in the Supply module
    • Demand Planning Read-only user in the Demand module
    • Supply Planning Read-only user in the Supply module
    • Inventory Planning Read-only user 
    • Planning Engine Read-only user
    • Production Scheduling Read-only user
    • SCV Read-only user for Configuration

  • Additional Demand Essential Role

    • Demand Essential Administrator
    • Demand Essential Collaborator
    • Demand Essential Demand Manager – Key Forecaster
