Planning Engine read actions

• Open or refresh Plansheets
• Open Variables on the Planning Engine Detail
• Execute an Export
• Backup

These are the rules while performing read actions:

• Multiple read actions can be performed simultaneously. However, read actions cannot be performed when an update action is running for the same Planning Engine.
• When a read action is performed while a update action is in progress, the read action waits up to 30 seconds for the update action to complete. Possible scenarios:
  • If the update action completes within the 30 seconds, the read action initiates the execution.
  • If the update action is in progress after 30 seconds, the read action fails, and this error message is displayed:

    RTPR007 = Attempting to access planning engine details. An update is ongoing, try again later.

• Read actions can be performed simultaneously with a workflow containing update actions, if the update action step is not being executed.
