Configuring standard plansheet

You can configure an embedded plansheet based on a plansheet report. This report is a tabular report of plansheet data on rows and columns, and the data is displayed based on the parameters or the contextual data.

To create a plansheet:

  1. Select Configuration > Planning Engines > Plansheets.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select Standard Plansheet.
  4. Specify this information in the Details tab:
    Name
    The name of the plansheet to be displayed in the application.
    Display Name
    The name to be displayed in the application. This is an optional field.
    Type
    The type of plansheet. This value is defaulted based on the type of plansheet selected. Set to Standard in this case.
    Report
    The type of plansheet report.
    System
    If this switch is ON, the plansheet is system-defined.
    Enabled
    If this switch is ON, you can view the plansheet.
    Workbook
    The grouping workbook to be used in the dynamic menu when listing the plansheets for each Planning Engine.
    Tags
    Select from a list of pre-defined tags displayed in the Tags window.
    Users
    The users authorized to access the plansheet.
    Roles
    The roles authorized to access the plansheet.
    Show in Mobile
    If this switch is ON, you can view the plansheet on a mobile device.
  5. Specify this information on the Parameters tab to pass parameters or data to the report:
    Name
    Select from a list of predefined parameters available to the specified report. The name of the plansheet to be displayed in the application.
    Description
    The description of the parameter.
    Value
    The default value to be passed to the report.
    Note: This value is overridden if the parameter is specified in the Parameter Overrides tab.
    Enabled
    The name of the plansheet to be displayed in the Determines whether the plansheet parameter is used within the plansheet.
    Note: Enabled flag is overridden if the parameter is specified in the Parameter Overrides tab.
  6. Specify this information on the Parameter Overrides tab to pass additional parameters or override existing parameters to the report:

    Parameter overrides can either be manually created or by selecting a Parameter within the Parameters tab and selecting Add Override.

    Name
    Select from a list of predefined parameters available to the specified report.
    Description
    The description of the parameter.
    Value
    The default value to be passed to the report when displayed.
    Note: The %default% can be used to extend the default value and add extra values.
    Enabled
    Determines whether the plansheet parameter is used within the plansheet.
  7. Click Submit.
Note: You can also use this page to:
  • Create a duplicate of the existing plansheet and modify the parameters as required using the Duplicate option.
  • Edit existing plansheet, using the Edit option.
  • Delete existing plansheet, using the Delete option.
