Executing system level macros

You can execute system level macros for the cycle periods. These macros are executed in a global context, and are not specific to a cycle period or scenario.

To execute system level macros:

  1. Select Process > Cycle Periods.
  2. Click Execute System Macro. Only macros of the type, System are listed.
    • The steps for a macro are executed based on the availability of the associated cycle period, scenario, or background processes (such as the setup checker), and the Time Out parameter defined in the related commands.
    • Each macro step is linked to a unique transaction, so the steps completed are always committed.
  3. Select the macro in the Execute Macro window.
Note: To execute a macro, you must have access to the selected macro.
  4. Click Run.
    Note:
    • When you execute a macro, the system creates and displays a log for the start and completion time of each step, in the Job Manager window.
    • You can also execute system level macros from the Execute Macro window accessed from these pages:
      • Cycle period list
      • Cycle period details
      • Scenario details
      • Worksheet (accessed from any worksheet toolbar)

To do so, select the macro type ‘System’ and select the required macro.
