Defining a schedule for a job
To define the schedule, to execute a macro, for a job:
- Select Configuration > Cycle > Job Scheduler.

New. Specify this
information:
- Name
- Specify the name of the job.
- Display Name
- Specify the name to be displayed in the application. This is an optional field.
- Description
- Specify the description for the job.
- Enabled
- If this check box is selected, the job is enabled and can be scheduled to run the process.
- Macro Type
- The type of macro to be executed, when a job is initiated:
- Scenario
- Cycle Period
- System
- Macro
- Select a macro. The macros are displayed based on the
Macro Type.
Note: The cycle period and scenario macros are executed for the current cycle period.
- Run As
- Specify the user who executes the macro. By default, the
current user is selected. However, you can select a different user.
Note: The selected user must have the required permissions and data security access to the macro.
- Cycle
- Select the cycle for which the macro must be executed, using
the scheduled job.
Note: This field is enabled only if the Macro Type is set to, Scenario or Cycle Period.
- Module
- The cycle or cycle and module in which the job must be
scheduled, to execute the macro.
Note: This field is enabled only if the Macro Type is set to Scenario.
- Scenario
- Select the scenario for which the job is scheduled.
Note:
- This field is enabled only when you set the Macro Type to Scenario.
- You can view the list of scenarios only if you specify the Cycle and Module.
- Schedule Expression
- Specify the expression in CRON syntax, that must be used to schedule the job. For example, 30 10 * 05 01 2014. This expression indicates that the specified job must run again on Sunday, May 4th, 2014, at 10:30 AM.
- Verify
- Click Verify to validate the values of the specified syntax.
- Next Run
- The date of the next scheduled run. When you execute the job, the date is calculated using the values defined in the Schedule Expression. However, you can modify the date. For example, to add a delay in the next scheduled job.
- Click Submit and Back to List.
