Defining cycles

In SCP, you can create an analysis cycle. Analysis cycles determine the workflow, duration and the default scenarios that must be created in each period. To define a cycle based on an existing one or to edit a cycle, refer to Editing cycles page.

To define a new cycle:

  1. Select Configuration > Cycles > Cycles.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information in these tabs:
    • Cycle Details
    • Tags
    • Calendar
    • Cycle Process
    • Archive Settings
    • Interpolation Calendar
    • Planning hierarchy
    • Additional Planning Hierarchies
    • Generate Scenario History
    • Engines
    • Scenario
    • Rolling Periods
    • Additional Pivot Attributes
    • Business Metrics
    • Note option
    • Data Security Rules
    • Application Variable
  4. Click Save. A new Cycle is added to the list.
