Data Source tab

Use this tab select the data source for an interface type. You must specify this information on the Data Source tab:
Data Source
The name of the data source. Corresponds to list of defined data sources with Interface Type File, FTP, or Amazon S3.
Note:
  • The filename in the Data Source definition is used only when executing the interface service using a macro.
  • If you are manually importing or exporting data using a file interface service, you must select the file to be used from your local machine.
Use File Name Pattern
Enables you to add regular expressions to identify the file name. Possible values:
  • On
  • Off
Note:
  • If this option is set to On, you can:
    • Include regular expression to identify the file name
    • Import multiple files
  • This option is displayed only if Interface Type is set to Import.
File
The name of the file to be used for the interface service. The files that are displayed are based on the Data Source defined. If the required file is not displayed, you can add the file using + (plus).
Note: If the Use File Name Pattern option is set to On, the field label is displayed as File Name Pattern and the regular expression can be used as the file name. These variables are accepted as the file name, with an underscore as a separator:
  • An alpha character (A-Z)
  • An alpha-numeric character (A-Z, 0-9)
  • A numeric character (0-9)
Field Names in Header Row
Indicates the content of the first row of the file that is imported or exported. Possible values:
  • On
  • Off
Note: If this option is set to On, these are the possible scenarios:
  • When the file is imported, the first row of the import file contains field labels and can be skipped.
  • When the file is exported, the first row of the export file contains the field headers.
