Validation rules

SCP performs additional validation for the defined parameters before calling the History Replacement Engine. In case the validation fails, the engine call is aborted and the related error message is displayed.

These are the validation rules/conditions:

  • Ensure that these parameters are mapped to a measure in the Measure Mapping list:
    • Input History
    • Period Weighting
    • Replacement End date
    • Replacement History
    • Replacement Start Date
  • When the value for Default Algorithm is set to Offset Forecasts, ensure that the Offset Forecast parameter is mapped to a valid measure in the Measure Mapping tab.
  • When the value for Default Algorithm is set to Simple user-defined, ensure that the User-defined Value parameter parameter is mapped to a valid measure in the Measure Mapping tab.
  • When the measure is mapped to Replacement End Date or Replacement End Date parameters, ensure that the measure type is set to Date.
