Defining Market Intelligence
To define a market intelligence record:
- Select Configuration > Common > Measures > Market Intelligence. A list of predefined MI configurations is displayed.
- Click New.

Specify the required information:
- Module
- The module in which the Market Intelligence is
available.Note: When you select a module, the Measure, Net Forecast Measure and Available Spread Measure lists are updated to only display the measures that are applicable for the module.
- Measure
- A unique measure code for the Market Intelligence.
- Net Forecast Measure
- The list of all defined measures.
- Tags
- The predefined tags, that can be used to tag a measure. You can link one or more tags to a measure.
- Available Spread Measure
- Selected from a list of all defined measures. You must specify at least one Available Spread Measure.
- Default Spread Measure
- Selected from the list of Available measures.
- Force Add Note
- If this option is set to On, a note must be added when
market intelligence of this type is added.Note: The default value is Off.
- Use Default Spread Measure for Period Spreading
- Indicates the Default Spread Measure must be used when
spreading to periods. Possible values:
- On: The default Spread Measure is used to spread to Item, Location and Period.
- Off: The default Spread Measure is used to spread to item and location and the Period Spreading uses the Cycle's Period Spread Measure.
Note: The default value is Off. - System
- Indicates if the Market Intelligence measure is a system
defined or user-defined. Possible values:
- On: The Intelligence measure is system defined and cannot be modified or deleted.
- Off: The Intelligence measure is user defined.
Note: By default, this option is disabled.
Note: When you select a module, the Measure, Net Forecast Measure and Available Spread Measure lists are updated to only display the measures that are applicable for the module. -
Click Save. A new MI definition is created.
Note: You must specify a tag for the cycle to link the MI data records.
