Configuration Measures

These rules are applicable to the calculation for the Number of Days Demand Loaded this period (DPLS_DS_DAYS):
  • Single Global value used for all calculations
  • Number of days between the start of the current planning period and the date on which the most recent customer order imported or the number of days into the current planning period
  • Imported and editable using the Demand Sensing Configuration worksheet

These rules are applicable for the Standard Deviations Tolerance Allowed (DPLS_DS_SD_TOLERANCE):

  • This value is created only for Base Level.
  • The value for each Valid Combination can be unique.
  • The number of standard deviations that the ‘Demand To Date Variance to Forecast’ can be before the high and low exceptions are triggered.
  • The value can be edited using Demand Sensing Config Tolerance worksheet.
  • This value impacts the following measures:
    • Standard Deviations High Demand Exception (DPLS_DS_SD_EXCEPTION_HIGH)
    • Standard Deviations Low Demand Exception (DPLS_DS_SD_EXCEPTION_LOW)

These rules are applicable for the Percentage Tolerance Allowed (DPLS_DS_PER_TOLERANCE):

  • This value is created for All Levels.
  • The value for each Valid Combination can be unique.
  • The percentage that the ‘Demand To Date Variance to Forecast Percent’ can be before the high and low exceptions are triggered.
  • This value can be edited using Demand Sensing Config Tolerance worksheet.
  • This value impacts the following measures:
    • Percentage Tolerance High Demand Exception:
      • DPLS_DS_PER_EXCEPTION_HIGH
      • DPLS_DS_PER_EXCEPTION_HIGH_GRP
    • Percentage Tolerance Low Demand Exception:
      • DPLS_DS_PER_EXCEPTION_LOW
      • DPLS_DS_PER_EXCEPTION_LOW_GRP
