Search criteria when creating a macro

You can set the search criteria when creating a macro. The selection used when running the macro is found by a specific search or selection within a macro action. When the function called by that action has been completed, the selection is effectively lost, and the current selection no longer exists. This is an exception when you have a selection in place before the macro is activated, and the current selection is valid in the macro action. The search criteria is displayed in the Parameters column on the Macro Entry window. This field is enabled based on the action selected when creating the macro.
