Surplus

You can allow surplus for batches in order to bring the quantity up to any minimum batch quantity that is defined. Surplus can be allowed by default in the Process Step Entry window. Surplus can also be allowed by changing batch status.

These are the various ways to create surplus batches:

• Use the New option to create a process batch or a tank batch.
• Delete the outflow of a batch.
• Delete the inflow of a batch while the inflow batch can have surplus.
• Create a batch with Create Inflow while the process step has a minimum batch size and the required quantity is less than the minimum quantity.
• Modify the status of a batch.
