Depletion inventory
Depleting inventory is a form of forward planning that creates depletion batches to decrease the inventory level of an inventory point. Depletion batches are used for the further processing or depletion of by-products.
Note: You can override the depletion strategy.
You can select manual or automatic mode for depletion:
- The automatic mode uses the defined constraints to create the depletion batches.
- The manual mode provides a suggestion that is based on shortage or overflow. You can specify the number of batches with quantity required to be created.
