Data publication

Data can be published from Infor Production Scheduling for reporting or viewing through the Web Viewer for AS. Multiple interface groups can exist for publishing. For example, you can have an ASCII interface group to export data for reporting and a group for exporting data to the Web Viewer. You can determine the data that can be exported based on the data to be used. You can select master data or scheduling data alternatively for exporting.

You can define the data and parameters to publish, using the View Entry window. Interface groups and interfaces for publication of master and scheduling data are distributed with the Infor Production Scheduling setup using templates. Import the REPORTWRITER template prior to publishing data for reporting. When an interface group is run and the write Schema.ini or the write Qetxt.ini check boxes are selected, the files are created.

For viewing data with Web Viewer for Infor Production Scheduling, you can create pictures of the planning board views for which the publish view setting has been selected on the Publish tab of the View Entry window. You must select the Planning Board entity when creating an interface. The mode is defaulted to Write and the type is defaulted to Web Viewer for AS. Interface groups for reporting are distributed with Infor Production Scheduling using templates. You must import the WV4AS_ORACLE and WV4AS_ODBC templates. You can modify the interface groups and the interfaces that are used to publish data to Web Viewer for AS. Interfaces and interface groups are included in the templates.
